SHAPE-ID Learning Case Workshops Rescheduled for September 2020

We were disappointed to have to postpone three of our learning case workshops in March, April and May due to the coronavirus crisis. We are pleased to announce that we have now rescheduled these workshops, which will take place virtually in September to avoid further delays and explore the potential of online collaborative methodologies for inter- and transdisciplinary research. SHAPE-ID Results Discussed on “Transforming Society” Blog

SHAPE-ID Research Fellow Dr Bianca Vienni Baptista (ETH Zurich) was invited to share insights from the systematic literature review conducted in Work Package 2 on the new Bristol University Press blog "Transforming Society". Sadly our next three workshops have had to be postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. We were very much looking forward to our workshops on Trustworthy Artificial intelligence with the University of Deusto in Bilbao in March, on Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage in Warsaw in April and on the broader challenges of AHSS integration in Zurich in May. SHAPE-ID / TrUST Workshop on Education for Urban Sustainability Transitions Takes Place in Turin

The third SHAPE-ID workshop took place last week in Turin and was a collaboration with the TrUST project (Transdisciplinarity for Urban Sustainability Solutions) at Politecnico di Torino. Hosted at the beautiful Valentino Castle, the two-day event brought educators and researchers together to explore inter- and transdisciplinary educational models and approaches that support sustainable urban transformation. SHAPE-ID Workshop on Environmental Humanities Takes Place at the University of Edinburgh

The second SHAPE-ID workshop, organised at the University of Edinburgh this week by our partners Professor Catherine Lyall and Dr Isabel Fletcher, was a great success. We spent two days with Environmental Humanities scholars, policy makers and funders, to explore what specific contributions the humanities can and do make to societal challenges research related to environmental concerns in the context of inter- and transdisciplinary research.
